This track was my favorite of the three to create, because of how vivid I believe it is. Imagine an old, dark, and dusty attic. An old man is rustling through some old things and stumbles upon an old cassette tape player. As he listens to an old recording of a lost love and him having a conversation, memories start rushing back to him, and he shuts it off. In order to take a moment to collect himself, he walks across the attic, and down the stairs. Once he is gone, all of the antiques and old memories come to life (an old gramophone switches on, the attic door creaks, an old broken piano begins to play, an dusty music box starts to spin, the house shifts and floorboards creak; the whole attic lights up with nostalgia). Her lonely ghost visits that old house, and dances to an echo of their love, that reverberates into the past. I used a mix of field recordings and Omnisphere sounds to create the dusty and nostalgic soundscape. I attempted to blend sounds that resembled medieval music, and 50’s pop orchestra music, all accompanied by a (slightly out of tune) piano.
